Energy investment – small scale battery manufacturing plant in Bhutan

$0 of $100,000 raised

Bhutan and Australia both has great resources. Bhutan is a country land locked in the gorges of the Himalayas and the southern foothill plains of India. Australia is a great continent blessed with golden soils. As the only carbon negative country in the world, Bhutan is exploring ways to diversity its investment in the market.

Australia ranked highest in lithium mining in the world alongside Chile and China. This means if you are in Australia, you are sitting right on top of one of the most sold mineral at the moment. Lithium is the primary source of energy for electric power driven cars. Lithium batteries are used in other applications as well.

The aim of this investment is to set up a small scale battery manufacturing plant in Bhutan. The revenue generated from the investment will be reinvested into government bonds and upgrading the production line for the manufacturing plant in Bhutan. Under the Bhutan-Australia Energy Trade Agreement, Bhutan will buy lithium from Australia, have the manufacturing plant set up in Bhutan and produce batteries to serve local and Australian market in return.
